What is a CSCS Green Card?

A CSCS Green Card is a card awarded by CSCS which proves you have the appropriate training and qualifications for the job you are doing on site.

The Green Card is specifically for labourers.

Legally it is not a requirement but most contractors and building firms do insist that you have a valid Green Card.

Who is a CSCS Green Card for?

The CSCS Green Card is for labourers. If you are a supervisor, manager or technical worker you will need a different type of CSCS card.

What do I need to apply for a CSCS Green Card?

To be able to apply for CSCS Green Card, according to their official website, you must have 2 things:

1. CITB test (costs £.21 and it must be done with them directly)
2. RQF Level 1 in Health and Safety Construction Environment Course and Accredited Exam.

How to apply for your CSCS Green Card?

To apply for your CSCS Green Card you will need to:

1. Complete your CITB test
2. Complete the RQF Level 1 in Health and Safety Construction Environment Course and Accredited Exam
3. Go to CSCS website and submit your application. You will need a scanned copy of RQF Level 1 Certificate and your CITB test ID number (found on your certificate), credit or debit card to pay the £36 fee.
